Peer Reviewed articles normally contain a thesis statement, a description of how they intend to test their hypothesis, and an explanation of the results along with a summary. 

Most of our article databases also feature a way to limit your search to only peer reviewed / scholarly / academic journals. Be warned... once in a while there are editorials or opinion pieces in otherwise "scholarly journals" so use the above information to ensure that your choice meets your needs.
