We have a number of databases to help you find information that you are looking for. As for the issue of the Aparteid and everything surrounding it I recommend Global Issues in Context. You can get there from our library homepage at http://library.tctc.edu/. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see Countries/Cultures libGuide. On that page, select Country Databases and eBook Collection. Global Issues in Context is on that page. From Global Issues in Context, you can search different categories it provides, i.e. Business and Economy, Health and Medicine. The Aparteid should fit into the Society and Culture. Society and Culture section lists all topics in alphabetical order and Aparteid is one of them. If you click on it, you will see that it provides access to 276 articles on everything Aparteid, both in history and present time.
As for history of South Africa during that period, including issues about languages, use Culture Grams Online, which is also on the Country Databases and eBook Collection page. In Culture Grams, you can searh for a country by clicking on the map or select from the drop down menu on the top left corner of the page. On the left panel of the South Africa page, you will see everything about South Africa, including its history and languages.
