Once you hit Search and find an article that meets your search criteria, carefully read the article and verify that the author's nursing credentials are listed next to their name. Typically, this will be on the first or last page of the article.
In some databases, it is possible to use the Author Field to search for nursing credentials (BSN or RN or MSN or CNP or DNP). This is not always 100% accurate and we recommend reading the article to see if additional author credentials are listed.
No credentials listed? Conduct a search on the internet for their name and academic affiliation. Typically, scholarly authors will have a publicly available profile that list all of their credentials.
